Surfsimple
Technologies Privacy Policy
Thank you for registering with Surfsimple Inc. ("Surfsimple").
This privacy policy governs your use of the Surfsimple
software, the Surfsimple service, the Surfsimple websites,
(including Surfsimple.com) and all other software, features,
tools, websites, and services offered by or through Surfsimple
("Surfsimple Products") from Surfsimple, Inc.
and its business divisions (collectively "Surfsimple").
When you register with Surfsimple, and use Surfsimple
Products, you provide Surfsimple with personally identifiable
information (your "Surfsimple information").
This Policy explains the information practices that apply
to your Surfsimple information. This Policy does not apply
to information collected by third party Web sites linked
to or otherwise accessible from offerings presented through
Surfsimple Products and by Surfsimple. The information
collected or received by third party Web sites is subject
to their own privacy policies.
Collection of Your Surfsimple Information
Your Surfsimple information consists of personally identifiable
information collected or received about you when you register
to use Surfsimple or log in to Surfsimple as a registered
user and interact with Surfsimple Products. Depending
on how you use Surfsimple Products, your Surfsimple information
may include registration-related information (such as
name, home or work addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone
and fax numbers, birth date or gender); transaction-related
information (such as credit card or other preferred means
of payment, or a history of products purchased through
Surfsimple); information about your visits to Surfsimple
or Surfsimple Web sites and pages, and your responses
to the offerings and advertisements presented on these
sites and pages; information about the features or offerings
from Surfsimple or Surfsimple that you use, and how frequently
you use them); your billing and shipping information;
customer service information about you as an Surfsimple
user or subscriber; and other information specifically
related to your use of a particular Surfsimple feature
or offering. Your Surfsimple information may be supplemented
with additional information from other companies.
Your Surfsimple information may also include certain technical
information gathered by Surfsimple when you use Surfsimple
Products. Some of the technical information that may be
collected or received includes: the type of browser you
are using (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer), the type
of operating system you are using (e.g., Windows XP or
Mac OS), CPU type (e.g. Pentium), your manner of connecting
to the Internet (e.g, connection speed through narrowband
or broadband access); Internet protocol address; other
information about your geographic location; and the domain
name of your Internet service provider.
When you register with Surfsimple and use Surfsimple Products,
your Surfsimple information may be collected and stored
in the United States by Surfsimple, Inc. as the operator
of Surfsimple. Additionally, Surfsimple will use the Surfsimple
ID or other similar technology, to authenticate you on
Surfsimple, help store your registration and transaction-related
information, and enable you to take advantage of offerings
from Surfsimple.
How Your Surfsimple Information Is Used
Your Surfsimple information is used to operate and improve
the features, offerings and content presented to you by
Surfsimple; to personalize the content and advertisements
provided to you; to fulfill your requests for products,
programs, and services; to communicate with you and respond
to your inquiries; to conduct research about your use
of Surfsimple Products; and to help offer you other products,
programs, or services that may be of interest.
Your Surfsimple information may be shared within Surfsimple
and its business divisions. Your Surfsimple information
will not be shared with third parties unless it is necessary
to fulfill a transaction you have requested, or in other
circumstances in which you have consented to the sharing
of your Surfsimple information. Surfsimple may use your
Surfsimple information to present offers to you on behalf
of business partners and advertisers. These business partners
and advertisers receive aggregate data about groups of
Surfsimple users, but do not receive information that
personally identifies you.
Surfsimple does not read your private online communications
when you use any of the communication tools offered as
Surfsimple Products. If, however, you use these tools
to disclose information about yourself publicly (for example,
in chat rooms or online message boards made available
by Surfsimple), other online users may obtain access to
any information you provide.
Your Surfsimple information, including the contents of
your online communications, may be accessed and disclosed
in response to legal process (for example, a court order,
search warrant or subpoena), or in other circumstances
in which Surfsimple has a good faith belief that Surfsimple
Products are being used for unlawful purposes. Surfsimple
may also access or disclose your Surfsimple information
when necessary to protect the rights or property of Surfsimple,
or in special cases such as a threat to your safety or
that of others.
Surfsimple may use agents and contractors in order to
help operate Surfsimple Products. If such agents and contractors
have access to personally identifiable information, they
are required to protect this information in a manner that
is consistent with this Privacy Policy by, for example,
not using the information for any purpose other than to
carry out the services they are performing for Surfsimple.
In the unlikely event that ownership of Surfsimple was
to change as a result of a merger or acquisition by another
company, your Surfsimple information may be transferred.
Surfsimple will provide you notice prior to any such transfer
of your Surfsimple information. If such a transfer results
in a material change in the use of your Surfsimple information,
Surfsimple will also provide you notice about the choices
you have to decline to permit such a transfer.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Surfsimple may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies
to enhance and personalize your experience using Surfsimple,
including to operate and improve offerings through Surfsimple;
to help authenticate your identity when you visit and
transact with Surfsimple; to remember your preferences
and registration information; enable a shopping cart;
to present and help measure and research the effectiveness
of Surfsimple offerings, advertisements, and e-mail communications
(by determining which Surfsimple e-mails you open and
act upon); and to customize the content and advertisements
provide to you by Surfsimple.
Additionally, Surfsimple or its advertisers may use other
companies known as third party ad servers to help present
advertisements online in connection with Surfsimple Products.
These third party ad servers may use cookies, web beacons,
or similar technologies to help present such advertisements,
and to help measure and research the advertisements' effectiveness.
The use of these technologies by these third party ad
servers is subject to their own privacy policies, not
Surfsimple's. You can find out more about third party
ad servers and the choices you have about these technologies

Our Commitment to Security
Surfsimple has established safeguards to help prevent
unauthorized access to or misuse of your Surfsimple information,
but cannot guarantee that your personally identifiable
information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent
with this Privacy Policy (for example, in the event of
unauthorized acts by third parties that violate applicable
law or the policies of Surfsimple). To protect your privacy
and security, Surfsimple uses passwords to help verify
your identity before granting access or making corrections
to any of your Surfsimple information.
Special Note for Parents
Surfsimple is intended for a general audience, and children
under the age of thirteen are not permitted to register
with Surfsimple.
